Congratulations! to all teams on a terrific winter season of Futsal. The U.8s Annihilators vs Cyclones semi went to fever pitch as the game went into extra extra time with the Annihilators taking the win by one goal. It was also a one goal win to Balls & Weiners in their Mens semi against Hawks after extra time. The Finals and trophy and medal presentations are next Wednesday.
Congratulations to Sorenson Medal winners for the Most Valuable Player for the season as voted by referees each game. The U.8s medal was won by Ellen Rolfe with 33 votes, U.12s by Kayde Cummings with 24 votes, U.14s by Ziggy Crook with 31 votes, Mixed by Rory Degnian with 23 votes and the Mens by the irrepressible 4 times winner Joson Curcio with 26 votes.
Congratulations also to Riley Jones for winning the Golden Boot trophy for most goals scored in the season with 79 goals. Interestingly, two of Riley’s teammates form the U.14 team, Blue Bandits came in 2nd (Ziggy Crook, 65) and 3rd (Jackson Bryant, 44).
Finally, the Most Successful Team trophy went to 2016/17 Summer season winners, U.14s team, Malanda based Blue Bandits. Congratulations, again! Two teams finished the season without loss (the other was U.8s team Atherton Anacondas) but the Bandits won with a goal difference of 197. The Anacondas g.d. was 105.

Team Nominations can be done now. The Forms are available on the website (click on Forms on the RH sidebar) or from Larry.
There is a Sign-On night at the High School hall on Wednesday October 4th from 5-7pm. There is no need to come along if you have sent Larry a Team Nomination form.
The committee has decide on a new fee structure, similar to those used by other sporting clubs. It will be a Club Fee (which replaces the Game Fee) plus $50 insurance. All players must pay the insurance which is annual fee from October 2017 to September 2018. The Club Fee is for the Summer Season only. You can register and pay the full fee on-line at myfootballclub.com.au or pay at the hall. The fees will be $115 for Juniors and $145 for Seniors. There will be no Game Fees or extra fees for those playing in two competitions. If players leave during the season for work or another reason, then a refund of part of the Club Fee can be negotiated. There is no part refund of insurance as this goes to Football Queensland.
