Tableland Futsal Club

The home of Futsal on the Tablelands.

Finals, Committee and Games Manager, Coaching Course, Edmonton, Congratulations.

Semi-Finals begin this week (6-8 September) and Grand Finals the following week.

MIXED AND MENS PLEASE NOTE. Due to two teams (Hot Favourites and All for Fun) pulling out of the competition in Mixed and Mens (soccer injuries etc) Roma and Mixtures have been elevated into the Semi-finals.

COMMITTEE; a new committee has been formed to take the Club forward but only if a Games Manager is appointed by September 17th so we can set up the Summer Season which begins with a Sign-On on October 6th.

GAMES MANAGER: The Club is still searching for a Games Manager. Filling this position is critical for the Club to continue. The position requires the person to be available to set up the courts from 3.30pm on Mondays and 5pm on Wednesdays, oversee the games and assist the hall duty team packing-up. There are other home based duties regarding game sheets etc. Email Larry for details and more information, info@tablelandfutsal.com.au.

COACHING COURSE: Futsal Qld (which we are part of) is starting Summer competitions based at Edmonton PCYC and on the Cape. They have offered to come up to give a free coaching course on Saturday September 10th. Anybody interested in attending? Contact Larry at info@tablelandfutsal.com.au. The Atherton school hall is not available but I will check other venues if there is sufficient interest. As for Edmonton, this provides an opportunity for carnivals between us and them.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Winter Season’s Sorenson Medal Most Valuable Player recipients, Simba Makoti (U.11s), Brodie Cahill (U.13s), Dave Cassels (Mixed) and Ben Stacey (Mens). The Most Successful Team trophy award goes to U.13s team Redbellies (on goal difference from Joeys (U.11s). Both teams were undefeated throughout the season.
